Nat & Kluane Zavaglia's 1963 Impala

IMG_6371 (2).JPG

The Impala name was first used for the full sized 1956 General Motors Motorama show car that bore Corvette type design cues, especially the grille. It was named Impala after the graceful African antelope and this animal became the car's logo

Nat bought this Impala in Vancouver in May 2010. This car was said to have come up to Vancouver from California the previous year.

Found the Impala on Kijiji. Called my wife Kluane and told her about it and also sent her a picture. To my surprise she said that I should go look at it. I said to her “you know what happens when I go look at something and I like it right” she said yes I know. I went and looked at it that night after work and of course I fell in love. I called Kluane again and told her all about it and she said is this what you want? I said yes. She said is it finished the way you like and I said yes. She said so you don’t have to do anything to it? I said no, it’s perfect the way it is.
